Geological relevance of location
Plaggenesch (FAO Fimic Anthrosol) is a man-made soil. Sod was dug and placed in the stables for a period of time and then, enriched in manure, replaced in the fields. In this way a \"plaggen\" layer 40 - 100 cm thick was gradually built up over several centuries.
